Should Book Bloggers Only Write Book Reviews?

9 Books That Should Be On Your Radar For 2021

Welcome to 2021! Hopefully, this year is better than the year that must not be named. We might be just coming off our vacation here at Booked All Night but that doesn’t mean I haven’t spent the last month and a half drooling over soon to be published books. So to get us started, here are some books I’m totally excited for this year.

7 $10 Audiobooks for October

So You Want To Start A Book Blog

So you want to start a book blog, or vlog, or podcast, or bookstagram, or literally anything online having to do with an awesome book you’re reading. Great! Good luck! We love finding new book blogs and podcasts to follow, so whether you’re just reviewing or having discussions, feel free to leave the URL in the comments. Booked All Night has been around since 2016 and before that we blogged about books elsewhere. So we know a few tricks. But let’s get started with your project.

The Hate U Give

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed.

Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name. Some cops and the local drug lord try to intimidate Starr and her family. What everyone wants to know is: what really went down that night? And the only person alive who can answer that is Starr.

But what Starr does or does not say could upend her community. It could also endanger her life.
